Use of Calculators:

Calculators are not permitted during quizzes and tests. Keep in mind that you will not be given problems to solve that require tedious arithmetic or complicated graphing, so a calculator will not be necessary. This also means that there are certain trigonometric identities that you will be required to know.

Course Policies:

Make up exams will only be given with a note from a medical professional or the Dean of Students giving just cause to your absence.

Suggested homework problems will be given with each section we cover.  While these problems will not be collected and graded, their completion will greatly improve your chances for success in the course.  Homework solutions will be discussed during recitation sections.

Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in failure of the course.

Please see me, Charles or David if you have any questions, comments or concerns about the class.

This course outline is tentative.  I reserve the right to make changes as needed.
